Complaint of refusing to leave store lands a man behind bars in Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  The Clay County Sheriff's Office is reporting that: On March 12, 2019 at approximately 10:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson along with CSO Supervisor Dewey Grubb arrested an individual at the junction of South Highway 66 and South Highway 421.

Arrested was:

Dillis Blevins age 40 of South Highway 421.

The arrest occurred at the Tmart Convenience Store at the junction of South Highway 66 and South Highway 421 when Sheriff Robinson received a complaint of a male subject refusing to leave the store.

Upon arrival Sheriff Robinson and CSO Grubb made contact with the subject inside the store, when they escorted the above mentioned subject out of the store he became disorderly.

When Sheriff Robinson went to place the male subject under arrest he began to resist arrest and attempted to flee the scene on foot.

After a brief struggle, Sheriff Robinson was able to place the above mentioned subject under arrest without further incident.

Dillis Blevins was charged with:

  • Criminal Trespassing 1st
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Resisting Arrest
