Police in Manchester recover Stolen Vehicle, seize Drugs, Cash & Paraphernalia

MANCHESTER, KY. (March 11, 2019) - The Manchester Police Department is reporting that: On March 8th, 2019 while patrolling on River Street, Officer Cody Pennington observed a white 2018 Ford Fusion with a Florida license plate occupied two times, obstructing the roadway.

Officer Pennington activated his emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, after running the vehicle's Florida license plate through Clay County 911, it was found that the vehicle had been entered stolen from Laurel County.

Inside was:

  • Mollie Henson age 51 of Hyden, Ky.
  • Brian Hacker age 38 of Oneida, Ky.
  • During the traffic stop once the above subjects were placed under arrest, Officer Pennington along with Officers Ben Webb, Wes Wolfe, and Detective Gary Jordan conducted a search of the vehicle.

    During the search officers located a small baggie of a white substance believed to be Cocaine, two digital scales, multiple small empty clear baggies, two small clear baggies of a powder/crystalline substance believed to be Methamphetamine, a used glass pipe with white residue present, a leather SlapJack concealed inside a backpack, and U.S. Currency.

    The subject in the drivers seat, Mollie Henson was also found to have an active warrant verified by Clay County 911.

    The occupants of the vehicle were charged with the following:

  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
  • Failure to Produce Insurance Card
  • Obstructing a Highway
  • Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or more
  • Traff in Cont Sub, 1st Degree, 1st Off -(<4GMS Cocaine)
  • Traff in Cont Sub, 1st Degree, 1st Off -(> OR = 2GMS Methamphetamine)
  • Drug Paraphernalia Buy or Possess
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon
  • Brian Hacker was charged with:

  • Receiving Stolen Property $10,000 or more
  • Traff in Cont Sub, 1st Degree, 1st Off -(<4GMS Cocaine)
  • Traff in Cont Sub, 1st Degree, 1st Off -(> OR = 2GMS Methamphetamine)
  • Drug Paraphernalia Buy or Possess
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon
