Failing to use turn signal gets Arrowhead Court man arrested / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On March 11, 2019 at approximately 3:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested an individual during a traffic stop on Ham Hollow Road .

Arrested was:

Albert Roark age 43 of Arrowhead Court.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Edwards observed a black 2-door car travelling south on Ham Hollow Road where it failed to give a turn signal.

Once Deputy Edwards initiated the traffic stop, the license plate came back cancelled due to failure to maintain insurance.

Once the drivers information was ran through Clay County 911 it showed the driver didn’t have a valid driver license.

Upon contact with the driver Deputy Edwards smelled a strong odor of alcoholic beverage, Deputy Edwards conducted standardized field sobriety test on the above mentioned subject in which he showed signs of impairment.

Upon search of the vehicle Deputy Edwards located empty cans of alcoholic beverages along with an open container.

The driver was transported to AdventHealth Manchester where he refused to give a blood sample.

Albert Roark was charged with:

  • Failure to or Improper Signal
  • No/Expired Registration Receipt
  • No/Expired Registration Plate
  • Failure to Produce Insurance Card
  • Failure to Register/Transfer Motor Vehicle
  • Operating on Suspended or Revoked Driver License
  • Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence ALC/DRUGS/ ETC. .08 3rd Offense
