Man accused of using Brass Knuckles on female / Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Sgt. John Inman along with Detective Kyle Gray, Deputy Gary Mehler, and Deputy Shannon Jones arrested an individual off Dogwood Springs Drive early Saturday morning March 9, 2018 at approximately 2:43 AM.

Arrested was:

Kenneth Jordan Vaughn age 25 of Dogwood Springs Drive, London, Ky.

The arrest occurred off Dogwood Springs Drive, approximately 4 miles South of London after a female subject ran to off duty Detective Kyle Gray’s house seeking help after allegedly being assaulted by her boyfriend who was reportedly chasing her on foot.

Deputies conducted an investigation and learned that apparently this subject had been punched in the face with brass knuckles leaving a swollen jaw, bruise and scratch marks on her neck, and other scratch marks.

Deputies and detectives located the suspect at a residence in the neighborhood and also located the brass knuckles.

Upon arrest, this individual became belligerent and following a brief scuffle with deputies was taken into custody.

Kenneth Jordan Vaughn was charged with assault – 4th degree – domestic violence; resisting arrest.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
