Laurel County, Ky. (February 6,2019) - LSO is reporting that: Sheriff John Root received information on the whereabouts of a wanted individual being sought by the Laurel County Sheriff’s office for a robbery which occurred at Loves Truck Stop on March 1, 2019 at approximately 6:30 AM. ten miles South of London off Ky 770.
Since the robbery, and the posting of surveillance photos of the suspect on the Laurel County Sheriff’s office Facebook page and television and newspapers, numerous tips have been received by the Laurel County Sheriff’s office indicating that the suspect pictured was John Schell.
After Sheriff Root received a tip on the suspect's location, Laurel Sheriff’s deputies and detectives traveled to Pleasure View Road approximately 2 miles South of London armed with a Laurel District Court warrant of arrest obtained by Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards where the suspect was arrested in his mobile home without incident.
John L. Schell age 49 of Pleasure View Road, London as lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center on Tuesday February 5, 2019 charged with:
The 2006 Chevrolet van that Schell was operating during the robbery was a reported stolen vehicle.
