Police in Clay County arrest couple off North Highway 421 for multiple offenses

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On March 04, 2019 at approximately 4:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested 2 individuals off North Highway 421.

Arrested was:

  • Angela Bowman age 35 of Lawrenceburg, Ky.
  • Don Jarvis age 39 of London, Ky.
  • The arrests occurred when Deputy Edwards observed a Grey Nissan travelling south on North Highway 421 operating with one headlight.

    Deputy Edwards initiated a traffic stop on the above vehicle, once the vehicle came to a stop and contact was made with the driver she showed signs of possible impairment. Deputy Edwards then conducted a standardized field sobriety test on the driver at which time she showed signs of impairment.

    Upon running the information on the car, it was confirmed through Clay County 911 that the car’s license plate had been cancelled.

    While searching the vehicle Deputy Edwards noticed an odor of Marijuana that was coming from a bag inside the car in the passenger floor board.

    Deputy Edwards located numerous plastic baggies, digital scale, Marijuana and a crystal like substance that was presumed to be Methamphetamine.

    The passenger in the vehicle, was also arrested at the scene.

    Angela Bowman was charged with:

  • No Tail Lamps
  • Rear License Not Illuminated
  • Improper Registration Plate
  • No Registration Receipt
  • No Registration Plates
  • Failure to Notify Department of Transportation of Address Change
  • Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence ALC/DRUGS/ETC. 08-1st Offense
  • Trafficking a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense- (> OR =2 GMS Methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
  • Don Jarvis was charged with:

  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Trafficking a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense- (> OR =2 GMS Methamphetamine)
  • Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess

    The vehicle was towed from the scene by Allens Towing service.

    Also, assisting at the scene was Manchester City Police Officers Antonio Dodson and Jeremy Garrison.
