Clay Co. Sheriff's Deputy patrolling Ephram Creek arrests 2 on multiple charges

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On March 2, 2019 at approximately 12:00 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston along with CSO Wes Brumley arrested two individuals during a traffic stop for vehicle infractions

Arrested was:

Glenda Grubb age 36 and Junior Jones age 39 both of London, Ky.

The arrests occurred when Deputy Houston was patrolling Ephram Creek, he observed a vehicle travelling toward him operating with one headlight.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop for the vehicle infractions, upon contact with the driver she appeared nervous. Deputy Houston conducted standardized field sobriety tests in which the driver showed signs of impairment.

The passenger was also arrested, while being searched the male subject had a syringe in his pocket along with a Tylenol bottle that had a controlled substance in it.

Once the information of both subjects was ran through Clay County 911, it was the confirmed the male subject had an active warrant out of Laurel County Circuit Court.

Glenda Grubb was charged with:

  • Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence ALC/DRUGS/ETC. .08 2nd Offense
  • Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
  • One Headlight
  • Failure to Produce Insurance Card
  • Junior Jones was charged with:

  • Prescription Controlled Substance Not In Orginal Container 1st Offense
  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Serving Bench Warrant for Court
