Complaint of possible intoxicated people walking alongside roadway / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that on February 25, 2019 at approximately 3:15 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Jeremy Gabbard arrested Christopher Hubbard age 22 of South Highway 421.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Gabbard was dispatched to a complaint of possible intoxicated people walking alongside the main road, Deputy Gabbard made contact with the above mentioned subject at the junction of Paces Creek Road and South Highway 421, the above subject took off on foot toward the coal temple and Deputy Gabbard began the pursuit on foot.

Deputy Gabbard chased the individual through the coal temple and back out into South Highway 421 near Save-A-Lot, at that time the above mentioned subject was being pursued by Manchester City Police Assistant Chief Jeff Collett and Kentucky State Police Trooper Logan Wolfe.

Once the subject was caught the subject failed to comply to lawful commands given by the officers on scene and resisted arrest.

Assisting at the scene Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson, Manchester City Police Chief Chris Fultz and Manchester City Police Officers Ryan Jackson, Chris Curry, Ben Webb , Cody Pennington, Lieutenant Jason Combs and Kentucky State Police Trooper Don Trosper.

Also assisting at the scene was Lockards Creek Fire Department member Brandon Adams. Special Thank You to Chief Fultz with the Manchester City Police for allowing the City Police Drone to fly over and help locate the subject.

Christopher Hubbard was charged with:

  • Fleeing Or Evading Police 2nd Degree (On Foot)
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree
