Victim air lifted following Saturday afternoon crash / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  The City Of Manchester Fire Department is reporting that: At approximately 2:15 P.M. on Saturday February 23, 2019 Manchester & Lockard’s Creek Fire Units were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on the Hal Rogers Parkway around the 18 Mile marker.

Upon arrival of emergency personnel the driver of the vehicle had already self extricated and had suffered some severe injuries from the collision.

Units assisted Kentucky State Police, Manchester Police Department & Clay County Sheriff’s Office with traffic control until Allen’s Towing & Recovery was able to recover the vehicle from the side of the roadway.

Clay County EMS transported this male subject to the Air Evac LifeTeam base in Manchester where he was Air Lifted to the University of Kentucky Hospital.

Units then cleared the scene with no further incident.
