Complaint of possible drug activity / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On February 23, 2019 at approximately 2:00 AM Clay County Deputy Sheriff Brandon Edwards arrested Barry Ruth age 40 and Misty Myers age 36 both of Billy’s Branch.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Edwards received a complaint of possible drug activity of two people sitting in a car at the end of a driveway.

Upon making contact with the two above mentioned subjects it was determined they were under the influence.

On the female subject a plastic container was located that had a plastic baggie inside it containing what appears to be Gabapentin and Oxymorphone.

Barry Ruth was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Misty Myers was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance- 2nd Degree (Drug Unspecified)
  • Possession of Controlled Substance- 3rd Degree (Drug Unspecified)
  • Prescription of Controlled Substance not in Original Container- 1st Offense
