Deputies investigate subject that appeared to be staggering in roadway / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On February 22, 2019 at approximately 9:30 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston and CSO Wes Brumley arrested an individual while patrolling on Highway 149.

Arrested was:

Alonzo Wagers age 47 of Ice House Road.

Deputies came in contact with the above mentioned subject what appeared to be staggering in the roadway, once contact was made with the subject it was determined he was under the influence.

Also, it was confirmed through Clay County 911 the subject had active warrants for his arrest.

Deputies located syringes on the subject with one syringe loaded with what is suspected to be Suboxone.

Alonzo Wagers was charged with:

Execution of Arrest Warrant for Clay District Court

Execution of Parole Violation Warrant for Clay Circuit Court

Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess

Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
