Units dispatched to a possible fire at hospital / Manchester

MANCHESTER, KY (February 20, 2019) -  The City Of Manchester Fire Department is reporting that: At approximately 8:02 PM on February 19, 2019 Manchester & Lockard’s Creek Fire Units were dispatched to Manchester Advent Health on Memorial Drive for a possible fire in the boiler room.

Units had apparatus on scene within 2 minutes of the call.

Upon arrival units found heavy smoke with no visible fire in the boiler room. With further investigation personnel found what appeared to be char marks on the outside of a power unit.

When Hospital Personnel opened the door to the power unit it was found that the inside of the unit had been on fire and caused some severe damage to the inside components.

Units stood by with Hospital Personnel until the scene was deemed safe by Hospital Maintenance, units then cleared the scene with no further incident.
