Clay County, Ky. (February 20, 2019) - The City Of Manchester Fire Department is reporting that: At approximately 2:04 AM Manchester & Lockard’s Creek Fire Units were Dispatched by Clay County 911 to a Structure Fire on PawPaw Road with 3 possible entrapments including one female and two small children.
Upon arrival units discovered that the attached garage on the residence was fully involved and the fire had already extended into the house.
Units continued to make egress on the task at hand.
Upon further investigation it was discovered that all occupants were not home at the time of the fire.
Units provided exposure protection to a surrounding residence & cleared the scene with no further incident.
Assisting at the scene: Horse Creek Fire Department, Jackson Energy, Manchester Police Department, Clay County EMS, & Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
