Reckless Driver complaint leads to Drug Arrest / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On February 19, 2019 at approximately 4:30 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Jeremy Gabbard along with CSO Coty Arnold arrested Eva Sizemore age 45 of Bar Creek Road.

The arrest occurred when Deputy Gabbard was dispatched to a complaint of a reckless driver in a black Chevy Cavalier on Beech Creek Road with what appeared to be rear end locked up.

Deputy Gabbard made contact with the vehicle on Lyttleton Road at that time Deputy Gabbard activated his emergency lights. The cavalier didn’t stop, it almost hit a a bus occupied by kids.

Once the vehicle came to a stop Deputy Gabbard came in contact with the driver, the above mentioned subject didn’t have a operators license and her driver status was revoked.

On the way to Clay County Detention Center the above mentioned subject attempted to hide narcotics in between the back seat of the patrol car.

Once inside the Detention Center during the intake process Clay County Deputy Jailer Julie Henson located a Controlled Substance concealed on her person.

Eva Sizemore was charged with:

  • Reckless Driving
  • Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator License
  • License to be in Possession
  • Wanton Endangerment- 2nd Degree
  • Possession of Controlled Substance- 2nd Degree- Drug Unspecified
  • Possession of Controlled Substance- 3rd Degree- Drug Unspecified
  • Promoting Contraband- 2nd Degree
