3 arrested at complaint of possible Drug Activity / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On February 15, 2019 at approximately 12:30 AM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston and CSO Wes Brumley arrested 3 individuals at a business on South Highway 421.

Arrested was:

Passenger - Jason Jackson age 36 of Otter Creek Road.

Driver - Laura Parsley age 42 of Otter Creek Road.

Subject in store - Rebecca Hamm age 45 of Bridge Street..

The arrests occurred at Alvin’s Gas Station on South Highway 421 when Deputies were dispatched to a complaint of possible drug activity.

Upon arrival of location Deputies observed a Tan colored Jeep trying to leave the parking lot in a hurry when Deputy Houston pulled in.

Upon contact with the driver of the vehicle Deputy Tommy Houston he observed in plain sight needles and prescription medication. Deputy Tommy Houston conducted field sobriety test on the driver in which she showed numerous signs of impairment.

When contact was made with the passenger, his information was ran through Clay County 911 and it was confirmed he had an active warrant for his arrest.

While investigating the complaint of possible drug activity, Deputy Tommy Houston witnessed a female subject inside the store of Alvin’s punching and screaming into the air.

When Deputy Houston made contact with the female subject it was determined she was manifestly under the influence and she began screaming and threatening Deputies and individuals inside the store.

Jason Jackson was charged with:

  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offence
  • Illegal Possession of Legend Drug
  • Prescription of Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense
  • Laura Parsley was charged with:

  • Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence ALC/DRUGS/ETC. .08 – 1st Offense
  • Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense
  • Illegal Possession of Legend Drug
  • Prescription of Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Offense
  • Rebecca Hamm was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
  • Disorderly Conduct- 2nd Degree
  • Terroristic Threatening- 3rd Degree
