Deputies providing Extra Patrol on Highway 80 make Drug arrest / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: On February 12, 2019 at approximately 9:00 PM Clay County Sheriff Deputy Jeremy Gabbard and CSO Kendric Smith arrested an individual while providing extra patrol on Highway 80.

Arrested was:

Joanie Rogers age 39 of Laurel County.

The arrest occurred when Deputies were providing extra patrol on Highway 80 they observed the female subject standing next to a parked car on the side of the road.

Upon contact with the above mentioned subject it was determined she was manifestly under the influence.

The above mentioned subject had a back pack on, when Deputy Gabbard searched the back pack he located numerous Drug Paraphernalia items.

The subject was taken into custody.

Joanie Rogers was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (excludes alcohol)
  • Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess
