2 arrested on Crane Creek Road in Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston and CSO Wes Brumley arrested two individuals on February 8, 2019 at approximately 9:30 PM while attempting to serve a Crane Creek man with a warrant.

Arrested was: 

  • Ricky Gabbard age 58 of Crane Creek
  • Rebecca Davidson age 50 of North Ponders Branch
  • The arrests occurred on Crane Creek Road while Deputies was attempting to serve a warrant for Domestic Violence. Upon contact with the male subject it was determined he was manifestly under the influence, the male subject stated he had been drinking alcoholic beverages and vodka prior to coming in contact with the Deputies.

    While on scene at the residence Deputies made contact with a female subject that had approached them, that had swore the warrant out and she was also manifestly under the influence.

    She stated she had smoked Methamphetamine and taking prescription pain medicine.

    During the search of the residence Deputies located bags of Marijuana hidden inside a VCR. While searching the female subject during intake at the Clay County Detention Center by Clay County Deputy Jailer Samantha Ealy a plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana was hidden and located on the person of the female subject. Assisting at the scene was Kentucky State Police Trooper Logan Gay.

    Rick Gabbard was charged with:

  • Alcohol Intoxication in a public place 1st and 2nd Offense
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence)
  • Wanton Endangerment- 1st Degree
  • Rebecca Davidson  was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (excludes alcohol)
  • Promoting Contraband- 2nd Degree
