Complaint of a possible intoxicated female at Walmart / Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Jamie Etherton along with Sgt. Brett Reeves, Deputy Jake Miller, and Detective James Sizemore arrested  an individual in southern Laurel County on Tuesday morning February 5, 2019 at approximately 10 AM.

Arrested was:

Melinda Annette Kellogg age 49 of Corbin.

The arrest occurred at Walmart near Corbin in southern Laurel County after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a possible intoxicated female there.

Upon arrival at the scene deputies conducted an investigation determining that this subject was under the influence.

During the investigation, this subject identified herself as her sister using her sister’s Social Security number.

Deputies found this individual in possession of methamphetamine; Suboxone, and Gabapentin.

This subject was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances; giving officer false identifying information; possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance – second-degree; possession of a controlled substance – third-degree; tampering with physical evidence.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
