Glass pipe and illegal substances located in purse / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: Clay County Sheriff Deputies Brandon Edwards and Jeremy Gabbard arrested an individual off Highway 687 on February 4, 2019 at approximately 10:30 PM.

Mona Smith age 35 of Bowling Street.

The arrest occurred on Highway 687 when Clay County Sheriff Deputies Edwards and Gabbard observed the above mentioned subject pushing a bicycle along the roadway.

Upon contact with the subject she gave the wrong identifying information, it was determined she was manifestly under the influence.

Once the subject was arrested, her purse was searched where Deputies located a glass pipe and other illegal substances.

Mona Smith was charged with:

Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)

Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree

Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess

Prescription of Controlled Substance not in original container

Giving Officer False Identifying Information.

Serving Bench Warrant for Court
