Deputies & Officers in Clay County issued new Tasers and trained in their use

Manchester, Ky. - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that:  Sheriff's deputies and MPD officers have been issued new Tasers and trained how to properly use them in a certification class conducted by KSP Trooper Jake Roberts.

The Clay County Fiscal Court allowed the Departments to use the Crawdad Building on Greenbriar Road for the training.

Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson and Manchester Police Chief Chris Fultz would like to thank KSP Trooper Jake Roberts and KSP Post 11 for putting on a taser certification class for the Departments.

Deputies and Officers were issued new tasers and learned how to properly use them. The class consisted of class room, getting adjusted to the new tool, live fire scenarios, and a written test.

The class was put on for two days to get all Officers trained.

The Clay County Fiscal Court allowed the Departments to use the Crawdad Building on Greenbriar Road for the training.
