Complaint leads to arrest off Roy Cox Road / Clay County

Clay County, Ky.  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested an individual off of Roy Cox Road on February 1st, 2019 at approximately 6:00 AM.

Arrested was:

Richard Hoskins age 37 of Gabbards Fork

The arrest occurred off of Roy Cox Road when Deputy Edwards received a complaint of a vehicle sitting in someone’s driveway with the vehicles lights on.

Upon contact with the above named subject it was determined that he was manifestly under the influence.

Upon investigation by Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson and Clay County 911 Head Dispatcher Steven Salmons it was determined that the arrested had gave Deputy Brandon Edwards a false name.

Richard Hoskins was charged with:

  • Public Intoxication of Controlled Substance (excludes alcohol)
  • Executed Parole Violation warrant
  • Giving Officer False name and information
