Complaints of possible drug activity lead to DUI and Possession arrest / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: Clay County Sheriff Deputy Jeremy Gabbard arrested an individual west of Manchester on January 29, 2019 at approximately 9:00 PM.

Arrested was:

Donald Mayfield age 30 of Williamsburg, Ky.

Mayfield was charged with:

Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence ALC/DRUGS/ETC. .08 1st Offense

Operating on Suspended/Revoked Operator License

License to be in Possession

Possession of Marijuana

The arrest occurred 4 miles west of Manchester off Reynolds Road while providing Extra Patrol due to complaints of possible drug activity.

Deputy Gabbard noticed a vehicle driving toward a cemetery off of Reynolds Road, Deputy Gabbard imitated a traffic stop on the above named subject.

Upon contact with the subject, he showed signs of impairment. Deputy Gabbard conducted field sobriety test in which the driver failed.
