Father charged with multiple Sex Crimes against his children / Knox County

Artemus, Ky. (January 29, 2019) -Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan arrest a Knox County man for several sexually related charges from an indictment warrant.

On January 29, 2019 Troopers Jay Sowders and Kelley Farris located Joseph Davis (29) of Artemus, charging him with multiple charges from an indictment warrant. On January 26, 2016 Knox County Social Services received a complaint involving Mr. Davis sexually abusing his children under the age of twelve years old. KSP Tpr. Josh Cox began an investigation into the allegations. Through the investigation, Tpr. Cox received evidence to led to an indictment warrant being issued on January 25, 2019.

Mr. Davis has been arrested and charged with three counts of sodomy 1st degree, three counts sexual abuse 1st degree, three counts criminal abuse 1st degree and 1 count of rape 1st degree. He has been lodged into the Knox County Detention Center.

Case is still under investigation by Tpr. Josh Cox.
