KSP arrest a Shepherdsville man following an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 24, 2019) — On January 23, 2019, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested a Bullitt County man on charges relating to distribution and possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor.

Arrested was Jonathan D. Cole age 31 of Shepherdsville, Ky..

Cole was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect was distributing sexually explicit images online.

Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Cole is currently charged with 20 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and 20 counts of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

He was lodged in the Bullitt County Detention Center.
