Clay County Deputy Sheriff providing extra patrol charges subject with multiple offenses

Clay County, Ky.  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting: Clay County Sheriff Deputy Tommy Houston arrested an individual off North Highway 421 on January 23, 2019 at approximately 2:00 AM.

Arrested was:

Brooke Robinson age 22 of Robinson Creek Road.

The arrest occurred 15 miles North of Manchester on North Highway 421 when Deputy Houston was providing extra patrol in the Burning Springs area he observed a red Dodge Charger travelling at a high rate of speed.

When Deputy Houston activated his emergency lights the car proceeded to travel North and turned abruptly into a driveway hoping to elude the Deputy.

Upon contact with the driver it was determined she was manifestly under the influence. The driver failed numerous field sobriety tests. Brooke Robinson was charged with Operating a Motor vehicle under the Influence of Drugs/Alcohol/ETC. .08- 2nd Offense, Driving on DUI Suspended License 1st Offense, No Insurance 1st Offense and Failure to wear Seatbelts.
