Sheriff's deputies make arrest at Injury Traffic Crash / Clay County

Clay County, Ky. -  Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: Clay County Sheriff Deputy Jeremy Gabbard along with Deputy Clifton Jones and Deputy Dewey Grubb arrested an individual north of Manchester at the scene of a two vehicle injury crash on January 15, 2019 at approximately 4:30 PM.

Arrested was:

Larry Jones age 56 of Gum Branch Road.

The arrest occurred 12 miles north of Manchester when deputies were dispatched to a two vehicle traffic crash there. Upon arrival of the scene Clay County Deputies located the driver of a 2011 Nissan pickup truck.

Deputy Jeremy Gabbard conducted an investigation of the driver of the above said vehicle determining that he was under the influence.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Manchester Advent Health (Manchester Memorial Hospital) with non life threatening injuries.The occupants of the other vehicle in the crash were transported to Manchester Memorial Hospital by EMS.

Larry Jones was charged with Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alc/Drugs/Etc .08 1st Offense and Reckless Driving.

Also, assisting at the scene was Clay County EMS and Burning Springs Fire Department.
