Clay County, Ky. - Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: Clay County Sheriff Deputy Brandon Edwards arrested an individual off Richmond Road on January 11, 2019 at approximately 1:30 AM.
Arrested was:
Bryant Smith age 19 of Green Street.
The arrest occurred on Richmond Road. Deputy Edwards noticed a red Pontiac G6 traveling South on Richmond Road when he noticed the rear license plate not illuminated.
Upon approach to the vehicle he noticed the driver had red glossy eyes. When the driver stepped out of the vehicle he had to use the vehicle to hold himself up.
The driver stated he had taken Suboxone, once the driver was transported to the hospital and was read his implied consent, the driver refused to submit to test.
Bryant Smith was charged with Operating motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Rear license plate not illuminated, No/Expired registration plate and failure to produce insurance card.
