Indictment warrant & Promoting Contraband 1st Degree charge / Clay County

Manchester, Ky. - Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson is reporting that: Deputy Jeff Cochran arrested an individual at the Clay County Judicial Center on Monday January 7, 2019.

Arrested at the Judicial Center was Lester Smith age 63 of Sacker Road.

Once the above mentioned subject was transported to the Clay County Detention Center.  Deputy Jailer’s located a plastic ziplock bag in his boot that contained approximately 4.2 grams of suspected Methamphetamine.

Deputy Jeremy Gabbard and Deputy Wes Brumley took possession of the contraband, which was tested and showed positive for Methamphetamine.

The above subject was charged with Promoting Contraband 1st Degree and Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree- 1st Offense (2 grams or more) along with a Jackson County indictment warrant.
