Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jake Miller charged an individual after being dispatched to a two vehicle traffic crash on US 25 approximately 2 miles north of London on Friday evening January 4, 2019 at approximately 5:08 PM.
Heather Girton age 33 of London was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; driving on DUI suspended license – first offense; and numerous other violations
The investigating officer reports that while conducting his investigation on drivers involved, this driver had slurred speech and it was learned that she was driving on a DUI suspended license. Further investigation was conducted and this driver was determined to be under the influence.
This driver was transported by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County to St. Joseph Hospital London for treatment of possible injuries and was therefore cited and not arrested due to possible injuries from the traffic crash.
This driver was operating a red Pontiac Grand Am.
