Subject arrested on parole violation warrant / Laurel County

Laurel County, Ky. - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective James Sizemore along with Detective John Wright, Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Bryon Lawson, Capt. Kevin Berry, and Deputy Allen Turner arrested an individual off Indian Camp Road, approximately 7 miles west of London on Thursday evening January 3, 2019 at approximately 5:36 PM.

Arrested was Larry Dwayne Frederick age 35 of Rooks Road, London.

The arrest occurred off Indian Camp Road, approximately 7 miles west of London after this subject was arrested on a parole violation warrant and other warrants and during arrest was asked if he had any needles on him to which he stated no, however, detectives and deputies found him in possession of a needle and suspected Methamphetamine.

This individual was charged with possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; wanton endangerment – second-degree – police officer is victim regarding the discovery of a needle in his possession during arrest.

In addition, this subject was charged on a Kentucky parole board parole violation warrant charging absconding parole supervision; failure to complete treatment for substance abuse; failure to report to parole officer as directed regarding a conviction in Leslie County Circuit Court on a charge of burglary – third-degree.

In addition, this subject was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court bench warrant of arrest charging cash benefit of petitioner or 179 days.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
