DUI arrest after complaint investigation / Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Taylor McDaniel arrested Charles Mullins age 43 of London on Wednesday afternoon December 19, 2018 at approximately 2:24 PM.

The arrest occurred off Keavy Road approximately 1 mile west of London after Deputy McDaniel was dispatched to a complaint of a male subject apparently passed out in his white colored Jeep grand Cherokee at a business parking lot there.

When Deputy McDaniel arrived at the scene he located the driver apparently passed out and after numerous attempts to awaken driver, the driver awakened and exited the vehicle.

An investigation was conducted and the driver was determined to be under the influence – the driver stated he had taken Suboxone earlier. Charles Mullins was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense; and other violations. In addition, this subject was wanted on a Madison County bench warrant charging probation violation.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
