Numerous complaints result in three arrests / Laurel County

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root along with Major Chuck Johnson, Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Sgt. Brett Reeves, Detective Kyle Gray, Deputy John Wright, and Deputy Joey Robinson arrested three individuals on Friday afternoon December 14, 2018 at approximately 1:45 PM.

 The arrests occurred off Wise Owl Rd., approximately 8 miles South of London after the Sheriff’s office received numerous complaints of illegal drug activity and conducted an investigation there locating three individuals- one of which attempted to run out the door of the residence. During the investigation, investigators located loaded syringes, several used uncapped syringes, and a small straw with residue. In addition, 2 firearms were located and the owner of the residence – Carl Hubbard- told deputies that he was a convicted felon. The three arrested individuals were identified as:

  • Carl Hubbard age 59 of Wise Owl Rd., London charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Frelen Dean Roark age 58 of Wise Owl Rd., London charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Amanda Lynn Martin age 26 of South US Highway 25, Corbin charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • All three individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
