A Clay Co. is man facing multiple charges following investigation at traffic stop

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Joey Robinson arrested Rodney F. Grubb age 38 of Oneida, KY on Tuesday evening November 20, 2018 at approximately 4:25 PM.

The arrest occurred on McWhorter Street in London after Deputy Robinson conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford F-150 pickup that he observed driving recklessly near the intersection of the Hal Rogers Parkway.

An investigation was conducted on the driver who was determined to be under the influence – this subject admitted taking Suboxone earlier and using meth two days earlier.

Deputy Robinson found this subject in possession of a hypodermic needle and Suboxone.

Rodney F. Grubb was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense; reckless driving.

In addition, this subject was charged on an outstanding Clay County bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a controlled substance – second-degree.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
