Stolen property recovered & suspects arrested - Laurel County

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Taylor McDaniel along with Major Chuck Johnson, Sgt. Brett Reeves, Lieut. Greg Poynter, and Detective Gary Mehler arrested Erica Fox age 32 of Boggs Road, London on Thursday morning November 8, 2018 at approximately 10:22 AM.

The arrest occurred off Boggs Road, approximately 7 miles South of London after information was developed on the whereabouts of a reported stolen Skid Steer Caterpillar 279 D (valued at $80,000 ) located on a property off Boggs Road.

When deputies went to that location they found the stolen skid steer and a stolen RV camper and located a female subject inside the stolen RV camper. In addition, the female suspect was found in possession of pills, a glass pipe used to smoke methamphetamine, a hypodermic needle, and marijuana.

Erica Fox was charged with receiving stolen property $10,000 or more; prescription controlled substances not in proper container – first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana.

In addition, as the investigation continued it was determined that another individual was involved.  Deputies determined that identifying tags and serial numbers had been fraudulently removed from the skid steer and RV camper.

Also arrested was Timothy W. Reynolds age 38 of Boggs Lane, Lily charged with two counts of receiving stolen property $10,000 or more and two counts of obscuring the identity of a machine $10,000 or more. The skid steer had been reported as stolen from a construction site off Park Hill Road near Corbin.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
