RICHMOND, Ky. (November 5, 2018) –The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was called just before 10:15 P.M. on Sunday night in reference to a shooting that occurred outside of a gas station in Madison County.
The initial investigation indicates that there was an altercation in the parking lot of the Cannon Corner Marathon on Berea Road that resulted in shots being fired. One man, whose identity is not available at this time, was fatally shot during the incident, and pronounced deceased at the scene by the Madison County Coroner. As a result of the initial investigation the alleged shooter was located and detained as detectives continue their investigation.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7 Detective Charles Brandenburg. He was assisted at the scene by KSP Personnel, Richmond PD, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, and the Madison County Coroner.
