KSP Investigates an Officer Involved Shooting in Mercer County



HARRODSBURG, Ky. (October 28, 2018) –The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred just after 3:00 am this morning at a residence in Harrodsburg.

The initial investigation indicates that the Harrodsburg Police Department responded to a domestic dispute at a residence on Bacon Court, and was confronted by an armed individual. As a result, shots were fired, and the suspect, John M. Peach, 32 years old of Harrodsburg, was injured. He was taken to Ephraim McDowell Hospital where he was treated and released.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, John Peach was arrested and lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center, charged with Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) and Attempted Murder of a Police Officer.

The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 7.
