Laurel County Sheriff's Office announces addition of new K9 Unit & Annual K9 Certification

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that the Laurel County Sheriff's Office K9 units have been to Paris, TN where they attended the NNDDA (National Narcotic Detector Dog Association) certification course.

Deputy Jake Miller with K9 Gotcha and Deputy Daniel Grigsby with K9 Edge successfully completed the annual training.

In addition, both K9 teams completed an additional 32 hour decoy course through NNDDA.

Deputy Jake Miller and K9 Gotcha are a new addition to the Laurel County Sheriff's Office K9 program.

Sheriff Root states that Deputy Miller and Gotcha are an outstanding addition to the already successful K9 program.
