Bledsoe, KY. (October 8, 2018) - On Monday October 8, 2018, KSP Post 10 received a call about a two vehicle collision on US 421 in the Bledsoe community of Harlan County. Master Tpr. Jimmy Halcomb responded to the scene to begin an investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates Christopher Cornett, 36, of Cumberland was traveling south bound on US421 on a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he crossed the center line striking a JWB Trucking dump truck. The operator of the dump truck was identified as Jason Brock, 37, of Hoskinston, KY. Mr. Cornett was taken to Harlan ARH by Trans-Star EMS where he was pronounced deceased. The operator of the dump truck was not injured during the collision.
KSP is continuing to investigate if drugs and/or alcohol are a contributing factor into this collision. Collision is still under investigation by Master Tpr. Jimmy Halcomb.
