Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested Brent S. Napier age 41 of London on Friday evening Oct. 5th, 2018 at approx.5:31 P.M.
The arrest occurred on East Laurel Road (Ky. 80) approx. ½ mile east of London after Deputy Cloyd was dispatched to investigate a two vehicle traffic crash which occurred after this subject allegedly rear-ended another vehicle while driving his black colored Chevrolet Malibu. (Deputy Cloyd had been dispatched to observe for this subject’s black Chevrolet Malibu driving recklessly prior to the traffic crash) an investigation was conducted on this driver who was determined to be under the influence.
This subject stated he was only taking Xanax and Suboxone as prescribed.
Brent Napier was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense and other violations and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
