Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards is investigating a shooting which occurred off West City Dam Rd. approximately 11 miles South of London on Thursday evening September 27, 2018 at approximately 4:54 PM.
The investigating detective reports that shots were fired between two male subjects with one male subject receiving two gunshot wounds-one to the shoulder, one to the face area-- he was escorted from the scene into a personal vehicle and transported to Baptist Healthcare Hospital for treatment, and later transferred to UK Med Center for additional treatment.
Allegedly, the shooting occurred as a result of an ongoing domestic situation between two male subjects.
Two weapons were recovered—A 9MM, and a .45 Caliber handgun, and placed into evidence. No charges have been filed.
The case investigation will be presented to a Laurel County Grand Jury.
