Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Robert Reed is conducting a death investigation regarding an apparent lawn mower accident which occurred off Barbourville road (Ky. 229), approximately 7 miles South of London on Friday afternoon September 21, 2018 and reported to Laurel 911 dispatch at approximately 3:30 PM.
The investigating deputy reports that apparently the zero turn mower started to head down a hill there when apparently the operator jumped off and the mower landed on top of the driver causing fatal injuries.
It was reported that he was mowing for family friends at the time.
The victim was identified as: Carlous Timmons age 25 of East Bernstadt.
Assisting at the scene of the accident was: Campground Volunteer Fire Department, London Laurel Rescue Squad, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, and the Laurel County Coroner’s Office.
