Tuesday morning drug arrest in London, Kentucky

Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations will continue.

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kyle Gray arrested Dee Ann Boyd age 33 of Irvine, Kentucky on Tuesday morning September 18, 2018 at approximately 9:45 AM.

The arrest occurred in the Laurel County detention Center parking lot off Broad St., after Detective Gray observed this subject apparently passed out in the driver seat of a vehicle parked in the parking lot there. After finally getting the occupant of the vehicle to wake up and open the door,Detective Gray noted slurred speech and pinpoint pupils on the suspect who was unsteady on her feet.

This subject admitted using Suboxone and Neurotin earlier and allegedly had used methamphetamine a couple days prior. This subject stated that she was waiting in the parking lot for a male subject who had been arrested to get out of jail. This individual was determined to be under the influence.

In addition, as this subject was being booked into the Laurel County detention Center, Deputy Jailer Debbie Davis located two baggies containing a white crystal substance hidden on the suspect, a loaded syringe with a clear liquid inside it, and a large amount of US currency. The white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine weighed approximately ½ ounce.

Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Kyle Gray charged Dee Ann Boyd with public intoxication – controlled substances; trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; promoting contraband – first-degree.

This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
