Traffic stop on Hwy. 11 leads to drug arrest in Knox County

Knox County, KY  (Tuesday, September 18, 2018) -  The Knox county sheriff's Department is reporting that: On Monday September 17, 2018 at approximately 2:45 pm Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson observed a gray 2008 Dodge Charger traveling north on HWY 11 at a high rate of speed in the rain.

After conducting a traffic stop, Deputy Hudson determined the driver was under the influence. The deputy arrested Jessica Lenea Curry age 20 of Walker, KY charging her with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and No Operators License.

During the arrest, Deputy Hudson located a loaded 9mm handgun, five small zip lock baggies containing suspected methamphetamine and a set of digital scales.

Jessica Curry was then charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance-1st Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Carrying Concealed Weapon. Jessica Curry was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
