Investigation into alleged sexual abuse case regarding a 10 year old / Laurel County

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Gary Mehler along with Detective Kyle Gray and Deputy Taylor McDaniel arrested two individuals on Thursday night September 13, 2018 at approximately 7:25 PM.

The arrests occurred off East Hwy., Ky 552 approximately 6 miles South of London after detectives and deputies assisted by child welfare services conducted an investigation into an alleged sexual abuse case.

During the investigation it was determined that a 10-year-old minor female had allegedly been touched inappropriately by a male subject.

In addition, it was determined by investigation that allegedly a female subject knew about the alleged sexual abuse and did nothing to help the 10-year-old.

In addition, it was determined through investigation that apparently on September 12, 2018 that the male subject allegedly struck the 10-year-old in the face open handedly causing her nose to bleed and swell and her upper lip to swell. Detectives noted bruising, cuts, and a cut lip and bruising on the bridge of her nose.

The two individuals arrested were identified as:

Antonio Ramirez – Lopez age 34 of London charged with sexual abuse – first-degree – victim under 12 years of age. Also, this subject was charged with assault – 4th degree – domestic violence. Jail tracker also notes that there is an immigration detainer on this subject.

Bridgett D. Sizemore age 28 of London charged with criminal abuse – first-degree – child 12 or under.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
