Louisville Man Wins KSP Car Raffle

KSP Trooper Island Raffle-winner Kimmy Smith of Louisville, Ky. (center) received the keys to his new 2018 Dodge Charger R/T 392 Scat Pack from Kentucky State Police Commissioner Rick Sanders (right) and Sgt. Josh Lawson, KSP Public Affairs Branch Commander, on Sept. 12 at the KSP Academy in Frankfort.

Also shown are Bob Allen, president of Bob Allen Motor Mall (extreme left) and Jim Hughey, manager of the Bob Allen Frankfort location, supplier of the vehicle for the annual raffle, which raises funds for the agency’s free summer camp for underprivileged boys and girls age 10-12 on Dale Hollow Lake in Clinton County.It is financed entirely by donations, no public funds are used.

Each year, the camp hosts approximately 700 children, providing good food, fresh air, recreation, guidance and structured, esteem-building activities designed to develop good citizenship and positive relationships with law enforcement officers.
