Arrests / Manchester woman charged with Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension

Laurel County, KY -  Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Keith Dinsmore along with Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested two individuals off McKinley Lane, approximately 8 miles south of London near Keavy on Saturday night August 18, 2018 at approximately 9:59 PM.

The arrests occurred while deputies were there attempting to serve an arrest warrant on Gregory G. Griffey of McKinley Lane, Keavy when deputies entered the residence with permission from the property owner and observed numerous items of drug paraphernalia including scales, syringes, glass bongs, empty plastic bags, methamphetamine, and marijuana.

The female subject located there advised that she did not know the Griffey subject, however after deputies located the suspect in the woods behind the residence it was determined that the two individuals did know each other.

The two arrested individuals were identified as:

Gregory T Griffey age 35 of McKinley Lane, Keavy charged on an outstanding Knox District Court bench warrant of arrest on charges of failure to appear in court on charges of wanton endangerment – second degree; operating a motor vehicle under the influence – second offense; failure of owner to maintain required insurance – first offense; no registration receipt. In addition this subject was charged by deputies there with fleeing or evading police – second degree – on foot: possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana.

Ellalynn Nicole Eversole age 32 of Morning Glory Road, Manchester charged with hindering prosecution or apprehension – second-degree: possession of a controlled substance – first-degree – second offense – methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia; and trafficking in a controlled substance – first-degree – first offense – methamphetamine.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
