Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Detective Gary Mehler arrested Erin Michele Whittington, age 39 of London on Tuesday evening August 7, 2018 at approximately 4:23 PM
.
The arrest occurred in London following an investigation conducted by Detective Mehler into the unauthorized use of 7 checks taken from another individual's account cashing the checks at a local bank.
An additional seven checks have not been accounted for thus far. Total value of the theft currently is $1130.
This individual has been charged with forgery – second degree; and theft by unlawful taking under $500.
This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
