Federal arrest warrant executed on a Manchester man during arrest in Laurel County

Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that Detective Kyle Gray responded to a possible stabbing and assault with a motor vehicle located on Kentucky Hollow Road approximately 4 miles North of London on July 29th, 2018.\

Detective Gray responded to St. Joseph E.R. and spoke to one of the involved parties that had sustained several cuts, lacerations, and stab wounds to his face, arm, and leg.

Detective Gray received information that gave him another person of interest ( Jeremy Glen Owens ) and along with other law enforcement was able to find him for an interview.

Owens had allegedly dropped a female off at a residence on Kentucky Hollow Road. earlier on same date and a short time later drove back to Kentucky Hollow Road where he allegedly struck two males with his vehicle.

Family members followed Owens and when he stopped, another altercation took place where he was allegedly assaulted.

Jeremy Glen Owens of Manchester was charged with: Assault 1st Degree, Oper MTR vehicle u/influence (aggravated circumstance), Leaving the scene of an accident, Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree, and Reckless Driving.

Jeremy Glen Owens was also found to be a wanted person with an active federal arrest warrant which was also executed at the time of his arrest.

Robert Earl Burkhart of London was charged with: Assault 1st Degree and Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree.
