Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Shannon Jones along with Deputy Josh Scott and Deputy Josh Morgan arrested Deidre Morgan May age 53 of London early Monday morning July 16, 2018 at approximately 12:58 A.M.

The arrest occurred off Keavy Road, approximately 2 miles south of London after deputies were dispatched to a complaint that a male subject had pulled his vehicle off to the side of the road there and that she was ramming his vehicle with her vehicle.

When deputies arrived at the scene they observed the female subject in the driver seat of her vehicle with the engine running and the vehicle in drive. Deputies told the driver to put the vehicle in park and exit the vehicle, however she refused but finally put the vehicle in park but refused to get out of the vehicle.

The driver finally exited the vehicle and when she did deputies detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from her and determined that she was under the influence.

Upon arrest, this subject began yelling and screaming and creating a disturbance there, and following a short struggle with deputies was taken into custody.

Deputies noted that there was damage to Deidre May's front bumper area and damage to her husband's left rear quarter panel and tire.

Deputies learned that allegedly there had been a domestic assault at their home off O. Johnson Road and that the husband had left the residence and that she followed him and allegedly rammed his vehicle.

While Deidre May was being lodged in the Laurel County detention Center she smacked a female deputy jailer in the face and then kicked her.
