Laurel County, KY - Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Travis Napier along with CSO Sean Hayre investigated a single vehicle injury traffic crash which occurred on I–75 approximately 1 mile south of London off the southbound lane on Wednesday afternoon July 11, 2018 at approximately 2:52 PM.
The investigating deputies report that apparently a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer was southbound on I–75 in heavy rain when the driver of that vehicle stated a vehicle stopped in front of him. The driver of the trailblazer applied his brakes and lost control traveling off the roadway and overturning.
The driver was trapped in the vehicle and was extricated by London Laurel Rescue Squad and Laurel County Fire Department. The driver was transported to St. Joseph Hospital London by Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County for treatment of possible injuries. He was identified as James A. McClane age 55 of Corbin.
